While performing solo at the Wasted Space nightclub in the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel, AJ McLean proposed to his girlfriend Rochelle in the middle of his show on stage! He had pulled out the ring from his pocket and got down on one knee to present her with the diamond engagement ring. She happily accepted with a hug right then. It turns out it was AJ’s 32nd birthday the following day and they had much to celebrate that night. AJ had purchased the diamond engagement ring at Rocks in the hotel before he went on stage that night.
I don’t know if it was a spur of the moment decision or he just wanted to surprise everyone, but the band and his now fianceé were very surprised and happy when it happened. He had said to band members that he intended to ask her to marry him but never said when. I guess this was a great way to also announce it to the world!
This looks like it’s going to be a great year for AJ as he is also awaiting the release of a Backstreet Boys Best Of CD at the end of this month.
