Former Melrose Place star Andrew Shue and Amy Robach Weekend Today Show anchor have tied the knot this past weekend.  This is their second marriage each after both getting divorces a year before getting together.  Andrew has three sons and Amy has two daughters and all were in the wedding party.  Making it a very close Brady Bunch type of wedding.

The happy couple exchanged wedding rings on Saturday at the Lighthouse on Chelsea Piers on the Hudson river.  They wrote their own vows and have about 120 guests sharing the day with them.  This was also Amy’s birthday, making it a very memorable day for Amy.

Andrew gave Amy an engagement ring back in September of 2009, after only dating a few months.  Quite the whirlwind romance, but I wish them a lot of luck and happiness in their new lives with their blended family.  They planned a Mexican honeymoon for this week.  Did they bring the kids with them??

There have been many rumors circulating about Derek Jeter and his love life throughout his career.  One of the rumors that just wouldn’t die was that his relationship with Minka Kelly was more serious than they let on.  The talk about him giving her an engagement ring has been swirling since August ‘09.  According the the New York Post, they have officially confirmed the rumors and have already set a date!!  The famous Yankee’s shortstop would never jeopordize his availability to play in the World Series, so they have set the wedding to fall two days after the last game of the series would be played.  November 5, 2010 is the fateful day when Jeter officially denounces his bachelorhood.

What a team player, to not let his personal life get in the way of another Yankee Series opportunity.  I also think he is being hopeful of the fact they will not need all 7 games to win the series, otherwise his wedding will directly conflict with the parade. I’m sure the whole team will be invited to witness them exchanging wedding bands.

It has been revealed that the wedding will be held at the same castle in Long Island as Kevin Jonas has just had his wedding recently.  I wonder if the venue will change now that is has leaked.  Otherwise, they may have another Braniston wedding fiasco with helicopters hovering to get that million dollar shot.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of guitarist Rick Dufay of Aerosmith, and she is an actress for both TV and film.  No diamond engagement ring pictures have surfaced yet, but I am sure she will start wearing it now that the cat is out of the bag.  I wonder what designer engagement ring Derek chose for his lucky lady, was it a Ritani ring perhaps?

The eldest of the Jonas Brothers is the first to get married of the group.  Kevin Jonas married his fianceé Danielle Delesea during the big storm this Saturday.  The lovebirds held the wedding ceremony in Long Island, NY in a castle with 400 guests present.  After Kevin gave Danielle an engagement ring over the summer they started to plan a fairy-tale forest themed wedding with 14 foot trees and crystal icicles.  The weather only enhanced the theme by adding in the REAL snowy backdrop.

The grooms two brothers served as the best men whom held on to the wedding rings until it was time for the couple to say their vows.  This new wedding band Kevin received is replacing a “purity” ring he had worn until then, where he had vowed to stay pure until marriage.  While Danielle wore a silk and crystal flower in here hair as a reminder of how the two had first met in the Bahamas.

Kevin and Danielle have begun their “Happily Ever After” story, this is because Kevin has said to have found his “princess”.  The two exchanged wedding bands they designed for each other along with the traditional wedding vows.

They’ve managed to keep the majority of their ROM-ance under wraps, but earlier this month Candice Crawford was seen wearing an engagement ring, so it seemed, from her football hero Tony Romo. During a recent Dallas Cowboys game, the former Miss Missouri USA displayed what looked to be a very important piece of jewelry.

Candice is a sports reporter and hosts the Cowboys’ weekend sports show, Special Edition.  Romo play’s for the Dallas Cowboys, but may be equally as famous for dating Jessica Simpson for a time.  They also had engagement rumors flying about but I think he didn’t go through with it because she seemed to be a “bad” luck charm when he’s on the field.

I saw the picture of the ring she is wearing, and it looks more like a promise ring than an engagement ring.  I hope it is anyways, as it is in no way reflective of the millions of dollars he has earned.  I would like to say that when the time comes he will buy her or the lucky lady a proper diamond engagement ring, instead of what looks like a band with a couple of rows of some not so flashy diamond chips.  Web resolution as it is I could be wrong, but I will keep tabs on this story to see if this is truly a celebrity engagement.

In the new millennium, we have evolved in our social networking with a virtual approach, with Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.  Crazy stunts and theme weddings have become a give-in for many.  Possibly they do it for the chance to be immortalized on the internet and create a viral sensation.  Whatever floats their boat right?  They have had months of planning and now it’s time to just have fun!

YouTube has a new hit in the wedding genre, and it really reflects the times we are living in.  Picture a groom, named Dana Hanna, at the altar in his tuxedo, standing next to his bride, Tracy, as they complete their vows and exchange rings in front of the minister.  So far seems like a normal wedding ceremony, right? Until Dana pulls out his cellphone to change his relationship status on Facebook to ‘married’ right there at the altar.  The groom, knowing his bride would be surprised, had her phone ready for her to do the same.

She had no idea this was going to happen, as the groom only included the minister in the plan.  He says that they have a lot of family scattered about the country that couldn’t attend the wedding, so he wanted to make sure they were up to the minute.  The minister, being aware of this trend many  have adopted as a staple in their day-to day lives, was more than happy to play along.  He added, after the couple were done updating their status’,  “If it’s official on Facebook, it’s official in my book”.

While this stunt went over well this time, we wouldn’t recommend everybody to try it.   It takes a special person to find this funny and play along, too.  Dana is a lucky man to have such an easygoing woman like Tracy.  Good luck to this modern couple, with many more fun times ahead!

As a blogger I have regurgitated a number of Hollywood stories about engaged couples and the diamond engagement rings and wedding bands that they wear, and stories like this one although short and to the point, are nevertheless very exciting to blog enthusiasts.

Jensen and Ackles Engaged!

Jensen Ackles and his longtime girlfriend Danneel Harris are officially engaged, as her rep confirmed to JustJared. The 31-year-old Ackles perhaps best known for starring as Eric Brady in TV series Days of Our Lives, now stars in the CWs Supernatural. 30-year-old Harris stars as Rachel Gatina in The CWs One Tree Hill.

According to JustJared the two lovebirds have been dating for about three years but have been friends for nearly a decade and co-starred in the 2007 romantic comedy Ten Inch Hero. The couple made an appearance on Saturday November 7th watching the horses race at the Breeders Cup World Thoroughbred Championships at Santa Anita Park in Los Angeles, where Danneel got a chance to flash her diamond engagement ring. They do make a very handsome couple. No word yet on a wedding date.

Stars from two different shows on the CW are planning a real life wedding.  Star of ‘Supernatural’ Jensen Ackles and Danneel Harris of ‘One Tree Hill’ have announced their engagement!  The two had acted together in the independent romantic comedy film ‘Ten Inch Hero’ in 2007.  On November 7, 2009 the couple attended the Breeders Cup, where the lucky lady showed off her new diamond engagement ring.  Jensen and Danneel have been dating for 3 years, but have been friends for 10 years.  I think that this is a recipe for a successful Hollywood marriage.  The news was confirmed on Danneel’s Twitter account as simply “YES!”.

All the best to this lovely couple on a future full of happiness and high ratings!!  When will the big day be and what kind of wedding bands will they choose???

Finally after a long hard road of trying to make it in the American music mainstream, the Kings of Leon has had great success!  Their album released earlier this year ‘Only By the Night’ featured the hit single that has gotten them much popularity ‘Sex on Fire’.  The drummer of this seasoned band has finally gotten his love on fire by getting married this weekend!!

Kings of Leon drummer Nathan Followill has wed his girlfriend, singer/songwriter Jessie Baylin. They tied the knot around 5 p.m. in a rustic barn at Wolf Den Farm in Brentwood, Tennessee in front of close friends and family.  Shortly after the events Nathan had tweeted a picture of his wedding band, while Jessie officially introduced herself as Mrs. Followill.

The couple first met at the music festival Bonnaroo in 2006, and hit it off immediately.  Since then they have been touring the world, and he had given her an engagement ring earlier this year.  Nathan has been boosting Jessie’s career in the process by just being associated together.

Mickey Rourke

Wedding bands couldn’t keep them together, at least this is what Entertainment Daily is reporting.

Having made it through an emotionally scarring divorce from his marriage to Wild Orchid star Carre Otis, Mickey Rourke is calling it quits on getting involved with actresses from now on.

After he was arrested for spousal abuse in 1994 things went sour for the couple and although the charges against Rourke were dropped, as a result of a subsequent reconciliation, the pair however failed to patch things up and in 1998 a divorce was finalised. Time, as it would seem appropriate, had given him another chance to focus again on his acting career and not on engagement rings for a while!

Now as he is poised to co-star in a couple of up and coming films with Hollywood beauties Megan Fox and Eva Green Rourke is  saying he will not be “tempted to romance or live with another movie star actress no matter what they look like, saying, “I’m working opposite Megan Fox and Eva Green next, and I’m certainly not complaining. But I’ll tell you, once bitten…”

Here is another pairing of an athlete and celebrity.  Australian tennis star Mark Philippoussis has found his match with Hollywood actress Jennifer Esposito.  Although it is just being released to the public now, apparently they have been engaged since the summer.

In the summer of 2007, Mark had appeared in the reality show ‘Age of Love’ where he had the choice of ladies in their 20’s and 40’s, to see where he would really find his true mate.  He ended up choosing the 25 year old fianlist over the 48  year old.  He reason for the younger choice was for the chance to start a family.  Well, regardless of his choice the pair didn’t stay together for long.

That brings us to the present, the two met in the Hamptons and have been very happy together, says Marks representatives.  This will be another attempt at marriage on both of their parts.  Well, Jennifer was married for a brief 4 months to Bradley Cooper, and Mark has had multiple failed engagements.  I really hope they have chosen the right person and it is a successful engagement that leads to exchanging wedding bands.
