Will Cupid’s Arrow Finally Strike The Bachelorette?

Courtesy of the HollywoodGossip.com

After being one of the final three vying for Brad’s heart on last season’s The Bachelor, Ashley Hebert found herself leaving South Africa without an engagement ring or proposal from Womack.  Having put her insecurities aside, she then decided to give looking for love another try as we saw on last night’s season premier of The Bachelorette.  With a new look and a new attitude, Hebert waited for the arrival of her 25 suitors.  Before waiting outside the mansion for her potential princes to arrive, Hebert expressed concern that not all of the contestants were there for the right reasons, explaining that a contestant from last season who she was close with in the house warned her about single dad, Bentley, who was supposedly there to promote his own business and not interested in finding love.  Limo after limo arrived with every type of gentleman suitor, all fighting to win the attention and affection of Hebert.

Things quickly headed in the direction of a college frat party, as the drinks started flowing and each man tried to one up the others by trying to get Ashley’s attention during each quick meeting.  In true frat party fashion, the night quickly ended for shy contestant Tim, who passed out after having too much to drink and challenging mask wearing, Jeff to a fight.  Ashley decided to give Ryan P. the first impression rose of the season and sent another seven contestants packing, including Anthony, the pseudo suave butcher from NJ.  Bentley has already deemed himself this season’s villain, explaining to the cameras that he would have preferred that Emily be The Bachelorette and that he’s on the show to win and will do anything it takes, including playing up how much he missed his daughter back home.  Of the remaining eighteen men, will Ashley follow in the footsteps of past Bachelorettes, and receive an engagement ring proposal at the end of the season or will she take after Brad and have to try numerous seasons of the show to find true love?  Speaking of Brad, it is being reported that his troubled relationship with Emily is officially over and that she has been spotted out and about without his engagement ring.  Could it be that their fairytale romance is truly over or was this merely a publicity stunt to hype up the seventh season of The Bachelorette?

New ‘Bachelor’ is a Familiar Face!

As seen so many times in the reality world we have a contestant from one show getting their own reality series.  This time its a reject from the Bachelorette.  It seems Jake Pavelka made an impression with the viewers when he wasn’t chosen by Jillian Harris because he was “too nice”.  Well even though reality thrives on drama people also want to see a good guy win.  So there is your premise for the new season of  “The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love”, season 14 premieres in January 2010.

Jake is a pilot from Dallas, TX, hence the subtitle of the show, and getting a chance to find love on his own terms.  He says that he’s looking for a girl that is more than just a beauty.  He wants to find someone that is so perfect that he will think she is beautiful regardless of what others may say.  This sounds very nice and sincere, so I hope he gets to choose from some quality girls who have more substance to them aside from looks.

I find it interesting that women still find the bad boys so desirable when they give them more grief than happiness.  Jillian didn’t choose Jake as he was “too nice” and ended up choosing a guy who has been rumored to be in a relationship with someone else.  Jake has set his standards for this next lady to be “compassionate, passionate, romantic, and protective”.  It sounds like he is looking for more than a contestant but a wife.

Good luck Jake in your pursuit of the ‘perfect’ woman.  So as you hand out those roses, I hope you have success and happiness throughout the dramatic reality world.  Maybe this will be his chance to give some lucky lady a RITANI engagement ring!

The Bachelorette Video Game, get Engaged on a whole New Level!!

The bottom line on Reality “Love” shows is that most Americans are pushovers for a juicy love story especially one that is fraught with challenges, upsets and even disasters. Sounds kind of like a video game in the making, no? Well that’s precisely what Warner Bros. Entertainment and Ludia Inc. have in mind. It’s sort of like the marrying of two American obsessions, Reality TV and video gaming, only in this “match-made-in-heaven” there is no real-life engagement ring!

According to buddytv.com, Warner Bros. and Ludia Inc. have decided to bring the reality TV dating show to a whole different level. Although it is unsure exactly when the games will be available, the news wires are saying that the worldwide licensing and distribution arrangement has decided to bring the Bachelor and the Bachelorette theme to the video game platform.

Now, how will this work? Do we get to pick our brides and grooms? Do we get to choose the engagement ring? Can it be a designer engagement ring? Can we pick the dress? How about the tux? What about the proposal, can we set that up?

Well, if you were ever afraid of real life rejection get ready for the video game version of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. The best part is that if you don’t like the match-up, just hit RESET! Game over.

The Bachorlette – Ed Gets The Girl, Jillian Harris gets the Engagement Ring – Chicago Gets Them Both!

So now that we have seen the After The Rose episode, we have a lot to reflect on. I think that Ed is a good guy, however I do have to say that my money was on Jake (hopefully the new Bachelor). I thought that Reid still has some issues to work out. One thing i thought was interesting, when Reid was asked if he had any questions, he said basically “No”. Not once did he ask Jillian, how are you doing? Are you Happy? Nothing… Nothing about the girl he is in love with, “Pulled all sorts of strings for”, and wanted to marry. Not one question about how she is doing. I thought that was odd! But that could just be me.

I have to tell you, that Ed seems like a real down to earth guy, who is HEAD OVER HEALS for Jillian. Hey, nice engagement ring too, Ed! I am not sure whether Jillian’s love story had her moving to Chicago, but that is another story.

I hope that this wedding goes through. I hope that Jillian truly loves Ed for Ed and not the thought of getting engaged and being married. Basically, I hope she was not persuaded by the expectations rather than true emotions.

I also liked the girl that asked Reid out on national TV. My opinion is that he should have taken it!

Well, I guess we will see what is to come.  We did see that Melissa is doing well, so maybe we will get an update on Ed and Jillian.

Jillian Harris Made her FINAL Pick and Accepted the Engagement Ring from Ed Swiderski on the Season Finale of the Bachelorette Last Night.

Photo of Ed and Jillian © ABC.

A final rose and an engagement ring were handed out yesterday as another season of the Bachelorette came to a dramatic close. But did this one really meet with the likes of a fairytale ending or is this setting up to be just another hot tabloid downer?

Jillian Harris chose Ed Swiderski after breaking TWO hearts during last night’s season finale of the Bachelorette.  First, she rejected Kiptyn, the guy that a majority of viewers believed was a sure thing for her. Next she (again) rejected Reid who shook things up by returning at the last minute to profess his undying love and admitting that he screwed up by not coming right out and bearing his true feelings for her earlier in the season.

In the end however, Ed was the guy who stopped, dropped and popped the question and rolled out an eye popping designer engagement ring and ultimately won her heart- now the countdown to their wedding (or breakup) begins!

Well, what do you think will happen to them? I mean haven’t we seen this sort of formula before? I am not so sure that everyone out there is convinced that Ed was the right pick. But, hey, you never know! Maybe we haven’t seen the last of Kiptyn..  What are your thoughts?

The Bachelorette Jillian Harris, A Rose Ceremony, A Girlfriend at Home, and an Engagement Ring? Pure Entertainment!

There are lots of twists and turns for us in this season of the Bachelorette. Just when you thought the girls from the Bachelor had brought drama to the table, NOTHING compares to the guys from this season of the Bachelorette!

The show adds even more drama, now that someone might have a girlfriend at home! Well who is it? Is it just a rumor to drive a wedge between Jillian and the other Bachelors, or is it true? If it is true, then who do you think it is? I have to assume that someone has a girlfriend that they are thinking about giving an engagement ring to back home, but would someone really go on national TV and embarrass themselves, Jillian, and their girlfriend like that? Maybe…

David is gone… Mike is gone…. Juan is gone…. Brad is gone…. Tanner F is gone…. Sasha is gone…
We already know that Wes is infatuated with his singing career… Is it Wes? Maybe…

There are still a bunch of really good guys left! I can’t wait to see the next Rose Ceremony.

We know that Jillian will make someone very happy, and an engagement ring from the right guy is the only way for the season to end. We’ll see more tonight!

The Bachelorette – Only One will Give Jillian Harris an Engagement Ring

Well the first night of The Bachelorette is over…  From 30 to 20 bachelors remain…  Who will give Jillian Harris the Engagement Ring of her dreams!  What type of ring do we think she will get?

I would have to think that she has a few decent guys to choose from.  I have my own list, and I am sure that you have yours.  We have also already seen the blogs discussing Hidden Agendas, etc….  I say this: “SHOW ME THE RING!!!”  I want people’s opinion about what type of engagement ring will Jillian get if she finds her true love..  Hopefully she won’t get her heart trampled on again.

I think it will be a 2 ct center stone, with .60 carrots of side stones.  I will say a Princess Cut, hopefully with a beautiful RITANI Setting.  Or maybe not.  We will have to see.

Either way, I am sure out of all of the engagement rings that are out there on the market, it will be breathtaking!
