This Weekend’s Celebrity Weddings Roundup

Who knew this past weekend was going to be such a favorite for celebrities getting married?!  The new Hollywood missus is Tara Reid, who was married in Greece on Saturday.  Reid was presented with a diamond engagement ring earlier in the day by her boyfriend Zack Kehayov, which she announced on Twitter saying “I just got engaged!” A few mere hours later, Reid took to Twitter again saying “Just got married in Greece I love being a wife.”  With such a rush to exchange wedding bands, it has everyone wondering whether Tara Reid will be the next celebrity to announce a baby on the way.  Reid had previously been presented with an engagement ring from Michael Axtmann, but the couple parted ways in 2010.

Also saying “I Do” this weekend was The View’s co-host Joy Behar.  Behar and her boyfriend of 29 years, Steve Janowitz, exchanged wedding bands over the weekend in a private New York ceremony.  No word on whether Janowitz presented Behar with an engagement ring beforehand, as the actress/comedienne has ever been seen wearing one.  Behar will discuss all of her wedding details on the September 6th premiere of The View.

Behar wasn’t the only View co-host to exchange vows and wedding bands over the weekend.  Sherri Shepherd and her fiancé, Lamar Sally, said “I Do” in Chicago on Saturday.  Shepherd carried her wedding dress as her carry-on piece of luggage on the flight from NYC to Chicago.  Shepherd had some famous faces help her walk down the aisle, as Elisabeth Hasselback, Niecy Nash and Yvette Nicole Brown serves as three of her eight bridesmaids.  Sally had presented Shepherd a diamond engagement ring in December and the couple began planning immediately.  Wonder if Behar’s invite was lost in the mail?

Another couple who has been dating for a longtime tied the knot over the weekend.  After presenting Brooker Burke with a diamond engagement ring over five years ago, David Chavet can now call her his wife.  The couple exchanged wedding bands over the weekend in St. Barts with their children in attendance.  Burke and Chavet have two children together and Burke also has two children from her previous marriage to Garth Fisher.

It’s OFFICIAL! Tara Reid gets an ENGAGEMENT RING from Michael Axtman

On Monday while dining out at the Little Door restaurant in LA, Tara Reid received what we thought she already got.  Michael proposed to her over dinner and she happily accepted.  She has been dating Michael Axtman, an internet entrepreneur, for about a year, and was seen wearing a very large pink diamond engagement ring while on vacation in St. Tropez in the fall.  Apparently this was not an engagement ring.

This is very good news for the starlet and possibly good timing for a Playboy issue coming out soon with her as the feature.  Either way congratulations!  This is her second attempt at marriage as she was engaged for a time to Carson Daly in 2001.

Sources who represent Reid say that she received a “beautiful round brilliant cut diamond engagement ring.  Tara was so happy and the other patrons (in the restaurant) clapped and yelled Congratulations” to the newly engaged couple.  They are planning a summer wedding but no date has been set yet.  I will keep an eye out for the engagement ring pictures.

‘Tis the season for engagement announcements!  I’m sure more will follow leading up to Valentine’s Day.

We all know that she has had her share of ups and her frequent share of downs, but if this is true and Tara has received an engagement ring then good for her! We are happy; the world is happy.

Word has it that Tara Reid is engaged to Michael Axtman, a billionaire and Internet entrepreneur from Germany.

These rumors are coming from people who have seen Reid donning a large pink diamond ring on her left hand which is a hard thing to miss, and sources have also noticed the couple traveling together in St. Tropez and Germany.

Anyway, a handsome internet billionaire?! Way to go Tara! With a wallet like that we can only suspect that the ring on her finger is a RITANI. And of all the engagement ringsout there a pink diamond center is definitely something different.
