While shopping in downtown Los Angeles, Katy and Russell had received a parking ticket. Their misfortune is our gain as we got a good look at the diamond engagement ring that Russell had given Katy.
It is not what I had expected in style for this woman. It is a very pretty vintage diamond engagement ring, but I had envisioned a very modern, contemporary style for this trendy lady. Who am I to forecast though as I don’t even know her! As long as she wears it with pride and loves it the rest of our opinions don’t mean squat.
As I had mentioned before I hope this really is going to lead to the exchange of wedding bands. This is her second engagement to a famous performer.

While vacationing in Jaipur, India (as a Christmas gift to her) Russell proposed marriage to Katy and she accepted. There were rumors circulating before the holidays, but both parties’ PR people have confirmed the engagement on Wednesday. Katy had mentioned to Russell how much she loved the Indian culture so he thought it was the perfect surprise getaway and opportunity to pop the question.
While they were touring the city, they stopped by the Taj Mahal and She Tweeted “He built this for me.” She then likened herself to Alanis Morrisette in the “Thank You” video saying “So when do I start walking the streets naked singing that Alanis song?” How exciting, and what a place to give your special girl an engagement ring!
What a great story about two love crazy people who really feel like they have found their true match! I wish them happiness and longevity for a lifetime together, and to overcome the strife that the stars must endure when dating someone who is also famous.
Still no pictures of the ring, but I will keep an eye out. I am really interested in the type of designer engagement ring Russell chose for Katy. It has to be stunning to be worn by an already stunning lady!

The pop star Katy Perry has been seen with Russell Brand quite a lot since they met on the VMA’s this October. The two have been spotted all over Hollywood and London together, at the usual celebrity hot spots. This weekend in London Russell was seen shopping at a famous designers‘ shop looking at diamond engagement rings. One on-looker noticed Russell’s attention for a large square cut diamond ring and seemed to be deep in thought in regards to it.
I think this is a very interesting love match and maybe a great one at that. She is very fun loving and high spirited which seems to have given Russell a new outlook on his life. He has admittedly been a womanizer until he met Katy. He has recently met Katy’s parents and they actually seem to approve of him for their daughter.
Sorry guys, if this is true, another beauty is off the market. We will have to wait and see how this pans out, hopefully by the New Year we will have an official announcement. I’ll keep you posted, with photos of the engagement ring hopefully.
