All eyes were on Hollywood on Saturday for Kim Kardashian’s wedding to Kris Humphries.  The pair exchanged their vows in front of 440 guests at a private Montecito, CA estate. The event was truly a family affair with sisters Kourtney and Khloe serving as co-Maids of Honor and younger sisters Kendall and Kylie along with Humphries’ sister Kaela serving as bridesmaids.  Perhaps the biggest show stopper was when Kardashian’s 21 month old nephew, Mason, walked down the aisle as ring bearer.

The attire for all guests was strictly black tie with outfit options only in black and white.  Kardashian wore a custom made ivory Vera Wang gown with a full tulle skirt and lace appliqué on the bodice and train.  She completed her look with a diamond tiara, pair of diamond drop earrings and pair of Guiseppe Zanotti shoes.  The groom wore a custom black and white Ermenegildo Zegna tuxedo.  The pair exchanged their vows and wedding bands in front of 440 guests at a private Montecito, CA estate.  When it came time to choosing wedding bands, Kardashian and Humphires went back to jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz.  Schwartz had created the 20 carat diamond engagement ring that Kris had presented Kim with back in May.  Among the star-studded guests included Ciara, Vera Wang, Demi Lovato, Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough, Alan Thicke, Brittny Gastineau, La La Vasquez and Carmelo Anthony and Ali, Dina and Lindsay Lohan.  Although there are a few months to wait until the E! two-part special, Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event in October, the world is sure to be watching.

Over the years, Kim Kardashian has not been shy about admitting how much she wanted to be married with children.  Well Kim’s sisters were sure to do both before their sister.  Older sister Kourtney, had son Mason, with boyfriend Scott Disick and younger sister Khloe, married LA Laker forward, Lamar Odom after dating for only a short time.  Everyone, including Kim herself, thought that she would be wearing an engagement ring from longtime boyfriend, Reggie Bush, but the couple called it quits last year after dating for a number of years.  The E! reality star and mogul had briefly been married at age 19, when she ran off to Vegas and exchanged wedding bands and vows with music produces Damon Thomas.  After only a few years of being married, the couple called it quits and later divorced.

After her breakup from Bush, Kim moved to New York to focus on herself and help launch DASH Soho with sister Kourtney.  Upon moving to NY, Kardashian found herself at the center of swirling rumors that connected the reality star to everyone from Kanye West to Halle Berry’s ex, Gabriel Aubry.  Although she was seen out on the town having a great time at various NYC hotspots and enjoying her singlehood, Kardashian gave into her penchant for dating athletes and found herself cozy with NJ Nets forward, Kris Humphries.  After dating for only six months, Humphries decided that it was time to take Kardashian officially off the market with a surprise proposal last week at her Beverly Hills home.  Humphries had written “Will You Marry Me?” in red rose petals and was waiting on bended knee when she walked into her bedroom.  In complete surprise, Humphries then presented his bride-to-be with a 20.5 carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond engagement ring.  Keeping the celebrating going, Humphries had secretly planned a small celebration with Kardashian matriarch, Kris, so that they could share the news with Kim’s close family.  Although they have no wedding plans set yet, mom Kris is probably already hard at work to make the day an event to remember.  With such an over-the-top engagement ring, how are they going to find a wedding band to match?

The third major award show of the season took place last night, bringing out celebrities in droves to honor the incredible bodies of work nominated this year at the Screen Actor’s Guild Awards.  The SAG Awards celebrate the actors and their body of work, as voted by the actors and their industry peers.  Similar to the Golden Globes, the SAG Awards showcase a relaxed and fun atmosphere, with the casts of the nominated films and TV shows sitting together and exuding feeling of pure enjoyment while having a great time during the broadcast.  This year’s SAG Awards showcased head turning fashions that focused on bright and bold colors and fashions.

One of my favorite looks of the evening went to Black Swan Supporting Actress, Mila Kunis, who wore a vibrant Alexander McQueen red patterned gown.  Kunis released her inner tigress by pairing her gorgeous frock with a Cartier Tiger Cuff Bracelet.  Claire Danes, who won for Best Actress in a TV Movie or Miniseries, wore a Louis Vuitton gown that featured hand stitched silk floral appliqués.  Danes paired her flowery gown with a pair of Fred Leighton 11-carat diamond drop earrings and an antique Fred Leighton bracelet.  The always stunning, Kim Kardashian didn’t disappoint when she showed up wearing a jewel encrusted purple Marchesa gown.  The entrepreneur and reality star paired her regal look with a jaw dropping pair of 40-carat platinum and diamond drop Lorraine Schwartz earrings and Lorraine Schwartz platinum, ruby, white and grey diamond cocktail ring.

Although many of the red carpet looks focused on daring colors and designs, the ever popular color black was also seen on many celebrities.  Nicole Kidman, who was a Best Actress Nominee, wore a black lace Nina Ricci gown but was able to add a burst of color with her Fred Leighton diamond and enamel floral necklace.  The ever-stunning Mad Men star, Christina Hendricks, chose a black sequined L’Wren Scott wrap dress and finished her look with a dramatic pair of Sutra drop earrings.  Although she has become known for pushing the boundaries of fashion when it comes to award shows, Kyra Sedgwick played it safe with a form fitting Thierry Mugler gown and pair of Cartier 3.5-carat diamond drop earrings.  With the Grammys and Oscars just weeks away, we cannot wait to see what the stars will be seen wearing next!
