Political royalty and fashion royalty came together over the weekend at the Colorado ranch of famed fashion designer, Ralph Lauren. Over 200 guests spent the holiday weekend at the ranch to celebrate the nuptials of Lauren Bush and David Lauren. Bush is the niece of former president, President George W. Bush and Lauren is the son of Ralph Lauren. Guests arrived on Friday to take part in the weekend’s festivities that included a picnic and softball game Saturday, the rehearsal dinner Saturday night, the actual ceremony where the couple exchanged wedding bands on Sunday and a post wedding rodeo yesterday.
The attire for the ceremony called for “black tie with a Western twist.” Bush gave the honor of designing her dress to her now father-in-law and was walked down the aisle by her father, Neil and her mother, Sharon. Some of the star-studded guests in attendance were former President George W. and First Lady Laura Bush, Jenna and Barbara Bush, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, Dylan Lauren and Ivanka Trump. Lauren presented Bush with a diamond engagement ring last year after they had been dating since 2004. Leading up to their wedding, there was much speculation as to whether Bush would change her name or not. After officially becoming a member of the Lauren family, it was announced that she will be going by the name, Lauren Bush-Lauren.

As an update to my July 28th entry, Ivanka Trump has gotten married this weekend. Jared Kushner is the lucky man to have taken her hand and given her a wedding band. The event was no less than spectacular, considering Donald Trump does nothing on a small scale.
Ivanka and Jared had 500 guests in attendance to share the big day with them at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, NJ. It couldn’t have been a more perfect day for the beautiful bride, as the weather was just gorgeous and made for great photographs. What’s more amazing is that she couldn’t have been less of a Bridezilla that day as she Tweeted “Just finished a gorgeous hike. The leaves are spectacular and the sun is shining. Everything is simply perfect! I’m getting married today!” How much more together can you be on your wedding day?!

How sure can you be that your girl will love the ring you pick? If she is Ivanka Trump with her own line of designer engagement rings then it will be a snap! Ivanka Trump, daughter of Donald and Ivana Trump, has announced her engagment to her boyfriend and publisher Jared Kushner.
The announcement was made via Twitter, where Ivanka exclaimed, “I got engaged last night, truly the happiest day of my life!!!” Jared surprised her with a 5 carat cushion-cut diamond engagement ring, from her own signature line. They are both very excited to be getting married, as well as Donald who says “they make a magnificent couple”. This seems like a perfect match being that they hail from prominent families who are both in real estate. The two are ambitious and will be able to handle the stress of being very important people. Next we must keep an eye out for the wedding bands, as I know it will be as spectacular as this diamond engagement ring.
