ngagement to Edmonton Oiler’s hockey player Mike Comrie.  She is the second hockey fiance of the year, following Carrie Underwood’s engagement to Ottawa Senator’s Mike Fisher.  What are they putting in the water?!?!…and then freezing it.  Hilary and Mike got engaged a few weeks ago after dating for two years while vacationing in Hawaii.  We don’t know what kind of engagement ring she is wearing, but my bet is that it’s probably a pretty fancy diamond!  If you’re looking for stylish diamond engagement rings, check out Ritani’s wide selection!

Our current Miss America, Katie Stam, is about to retire her crown this weekend to the next 2010 winner.  While at a fundraiser in front of 600 guests, her boyfriend Brian Irk, got down on one knee and proposed to her with an emerald cut diamond engagement ring.

Brian said to her, “I love you so much.  Will you be my Miss America forever?”. Katie said she started hyperventilating with the excitement before accepting his offer.  The next morning she thought it had been a dream, until she looked at her ring finger and saw the sparkling engagement ring as proof.

Katie has said “It`s bittersweet but being engaged and going back to Indiana knowing that I`m engaged to the man that I love, makes it really special and makes it easier to let go of being Miss America. I`m kind of trading one in for the other”.

Best wishes to the newly engaged couple, and I look forward to seeing the emerald cut engagement ring Brian gave her.  what kind of wedding bands will they choose?  Will they be RITANI wedding rings?  I hope so if they want to have something truly special to symbolize their union.

On Monday while dining out at the Little Door restaurant in LA, Tara Reid received what we thought she already got.  Michael proposed to her over dinner and she happily accepted.  She has been dating Michael Axtman, an internet entrepreneur, for about a year, and was seen wearing a very large pink diamond engagement ring while on vacation in St. Tropez in the fall.  Apparently this was not an engagement ring.

This is very good news for the starlet and possibly good timing for a Playboy issue coming out soon with her as the feature.  Either way congratulations!  This is her second attempt at marriage as she was engaged for a time to Carson Daly in 2001.

Sources who represent Reid say that she received a “beautiful round brilliant cut diamond engagement ring.  Tara was so happy and the other patrons (in the restaurant) clapped and yelled Congratulations” to the newly engaged couple.  They are planning a summer wedding but no date has been set yet.  I will keep an eye out for the engagement ring pictures.

‘Tis the season for engagement announcements!  I’m sure more will follow leading up to Valentine’s Day.

While shopping in downtown Los Angeles, Katy and Russell had received a parking ticket.  Their misfortune is our gain as we got a good look at the diamond engagement ring that Russell had given Katy.

It is not what I had expected in style for this woman.  It is a very pretty vintage diamond engagement ring, but I had envisioned a very modern, contemporary style for this trendy lady.  Who am I to forecast though as I don’t even know her!  As long as she wears it with pride and loves it the rest of our opinions don’t mean squat.

As I had mentioned before I hope this really is going to lead to the exchange of wedding bands.  This is her second engagement to a famous performer.

Well, apparently everyone has had the same exclamation about Carrie Underwood’s engagement ring.  It is said that her engagement ring weighs in at 12 carats, and that’s just the center stone!!  The designer has not been mentioned but the value is estimated at around $1.3 Million.  She is one special girl to have gotten such a fabulous diamond engagement ring.

We all know that she has had her share of ups and her frequent share of downs, but if this is true and Tara has received an engagement ring then good for her! We are happy; the world is happy.

Word has it that Tara Reid is engaged to Michael Axtman, a billionaire and Internet entrepreneur from Germany.

These rumors are coming from people who have seen Reid donning a large pink diamond ring on her left hand which is a hard thing to miss, and sources have also noticed the couple traveling together in St. Tropez and Germany.

Anyway, a handsome internet billionaire?! Way to go Tara! With a wallet like that we can only suspect that the ring on her finger is a RITANI. And of all the engagement ringsout there a pink diamond center is definitely something different.

The American Beauty actress was given an 8 carat diamond engagement ring by concert promoter Simone Sestito last year on a trip they took to Jamaica.

She is really thrilled, and has been planning their June 26, 2010 nuptials in Italy .  They have much in common and want to have a big, traditional wedding with all of their family in attendance.  She has been working on the look of her wedding gown with a designer friend.  This is a big difference from her first attempt at marriage, as she had eloped with her ex-husband of five years.  She seems to be a lot more mature and ready to be married and is already thinking about starting a family.  Mena and her Simone look really great together and I hope this is a successful union.  Hollywood is known for ruining relationships so I hope they try to keep their life private.  Though, by the looks of the engagement ring I think they will be proclaiming their love from the rooftops!  If the engagement ring is any indication of what is to come I can’t wait to see the wedding bands they exchange next summer!

This weekend Alyssa Milano exchanged wedding rings with fiance/agent David Bugliari.  They have been engaged since December ‘08, when he proposed to her with a gorgeous cushion-cut diamond engagement ring.  Alyssa and David gathered with many of their family and friends to share in the celebration, having a very casual dinner where they were able to enjoy their Italian family traditions.  She tweeted about the day sharing “Happiest. Day. Of. My. Life”.  Good luck to the happy couple, hopefully this one will be the one to stick for Alyssa.

Another pretty girl is off the market in Hollywood!  My Name is Earl star Jaime Pressly has gotten engaged to entertainment lawyer Simran Singh.  At a celebration in San Diego this weekend Jaime shared with her friends that she had just gotten a marriage proposal from her lawyer beau.  Friends have commented on the ring, that has yet to be seen by us, that it is spectacular.  Good luck to Jaime and her new fianceé as they make a new family around her son Dezi.  Maybe he will be the ring bearer; speaking of rings…..I can’t wait to see her engagement ring and the wedding bands they choose for the nuptials.  Hopefully this will be happily ever after, as this is her second attempt at an engagement, Hollywood is just not very supportive of HAPPY couples!  Keep a lookout for that dazzling diamond engagement ring!!!

A final rose and an engagement ring were handed out yesterday as another season of the Bachelorette came to a dramatic close. But did this one really meet with the likes of a fairytale ending or is this setting up to be just another hot tabloid downer?

Jillian Harris chose Ed Swiderski after breaking TWO hearts during last night’s season finale of the Bachelorette.  First, she rejected Kiptyn, the guy that a majority of viewers believed was a sure thing for her. Next she (again) rejected Reid who shook things up by returning at the last minute to profess his undying love and admitting that he screwed up by not coming right out and bearing his true feelings for her earlier in the season.

In the end however, Ed was the guy who stopped, dropped and popped the question and rolled out an eye popping designer engagement ring and ultimately won her heart- now the countdown to their wedding (or breakup) begins!

Well, what do you think will happen to them? I mean haven’t we seen this sort of formula before? I am not so sure that everyone out there is convinced that Ed was the right pick. But, hey, you never know! Maybe we haven’t seen the last of Kiptyn..  What are your thoughts?
