Although rumors were flying over the summer that the daughter of former president Clinton was already engaged, Chelsea has officially announced her engagement to a banker, who is the son of former Iowa and Pennsylvania Representatives, Marc Mezvinsky.
On Thanksgiving weekend they sent out a mass email to their friends and family wishing them a Happy Belated Turkey Day as well as informing them of their recent engagement. Possibly Marc proposed to Chelsea on Thanksgiving with their families present.
From School Mates to Life Mates...
The couple have known each other for quite sometime, while she was still living in the White House, Marc’s parents were active politicians and were acquainted with the Clinton’s. Chelsea then reunited with Marc when they both attended Stanford University.
Fate has it in this case that these two were meant to be. Just to ensure the good luck to come in this union the couple has gotten the blessing from her dad Bill. He has great things to say about Marc, including that “He’s a great human being.” How wonderful for the Clinton’s and the Mezvinsky’s to have such an organic union of their families.
The big day is set to happen next summer and I can’t wait to see the pictures from that event. I also really want to see the engagement ring Marc gave Chelsea, it must be impressive as she is worth it!
