Ugly Betty Star Marries Her Prince Charming

America Ferrera was anything but “Ugly Betty” when she married Ryan Piers Williams in an intimate setting on Monday night.  The couple exchanged wedding bands in front of close family and friends, who included some of Ferrera’s costars including, Vanessa Williams, Rebcecca Romijn and her husband Jerry O’Connell and Blake Lively.  The bride was blushing in an Amsale gown from their Christos label.  She finished her look with Fred Leighton diamond earrings.  The couple began dating after Williams cast Ferrera in his student film while they were both attending the University of Southern California.  Williams then presented his then bride-to-be with a diamond engagement ring in June of last year.  Guess Ferrera owes her now husband for jump starting her career and her love life.

Bachelorette Ashley Confronts Bentley and is One Step Closer to Finding “The One.”

Courtesy of abc.com

In true Bachelorette fashion, this week’s episode kicked off with a bang.  Self-proclaimed player, bachelor Bentley, showed up in Hong Kong to toy with Ashley’s emotions some more.  Before meeting him in room 4315, Ashley had a heart to heart sit down with Chris Harrison, who demanded that she get some answers from Bentley.  Upon meeting, Ashley’s instant attraction to Bentley resurfaced until he declared that he was ending any sort of relationship that they had and that he wouldn’t be proposing to her with a diamond engagement ring.

After exercising demon Bentley, Ashley and Lucas share a one-on-one date where they travel the streets of Hong Kong.  Over a romantic dinner, Lucas opened up about exchanging wedding bands previously and why his marriage didn’t work out.  Ashley believed that he truly learned from the experience and gives him a kiss and a rose.  Next up for the group was a group date of dragon boat racing.  Mickey and Ames took off from the starting line with something to prove, which paid off for the pair who ended up victorious.  Coming off his dragon boat win, Ames decided to make his move with Ashley and engaged in an all out make out session in the elevator.  Although Ashley seemed to enjoy making out with Ames, she ended up giving the group date rose to Ryan – the most hated man in the house second to Bentley.

Ashley decided to give JP the second one-on-one date, where she opened up about her Hong Kong run-in with Bentley.  Although he seemed slightly annoyed at the mere mention of the name Bentley, he was glad that Ashley could be so open with him.  If I were to bet on any of the bachelors, I would put money on JP as being the one to win Ashley’s heart and propose at the final rose ceremony with a diamond engagement ring.  Ashley decided to be honest about Bentley’s visit with the other guys at the rose ceremony, which caused Mickey to leave before the roses were given out.  After much crying, Ashley then sent fellow dentist, Blake home, ending his quest for her love and taking him out of the running for presenting her with a sparkler of an engagement ring.  Next week, Ashley takes the six remaining bachelors to Taiwan, where more will be sent packing as Ashley narrows down who she can spend the rest of her life with.  Who do you think she will pick?

Daniel Craig Marries: Rachel Weisz Becomes His Bond Girl

Bond – Mr. & Mrs. Bond.  Last Wednesday night in NY, James Bond actor, Daniel Craig, and actress, Rachel Weisz made it official by tying the knot.  The pair began dating last year after Weisz called it quits with Black Swan director, Darren Aronovsky, and their film The Dream House wrapped.  All of Craig’s training as the most recent James Bond seemed to definitely pay off, as the couple remained low key about their dating status.   The couple managed to keep such a low profile that Weisz was never spotted wearing an engagement ring.  The couple exchanged their vows and wedding bands in front of a small crowd, with only four people in attendance.  Among the small group were Weisz’s son and Craig’s daughter, both from previous relationships.  Wonder if the couple will jet off to a top secret location for a Bond-style honeymoon?

TV “I Dos” for Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minillo

After finding a great deal of success with his MTV reality show with former wife, Jessica Simpson, are we really surprised that Nick Lachey is at it again – this time agreeing to televise the exchanging of wedding bands with fiancée, Vanessa Minillo?!  TLC has signed up to air the show, aptly titled Nick and Vanessa’s Dream Wedding, which will air a few weeks after the event.  The show will provide viewers with indepth access to the couple’s life leading up to the wedding, including planning for the big day, her bridal shower and both their bachelor and bachelorette parties.  The culmination of the show will be the actual wedding ceremony, whose actual date is being kept a secret to allow for the couple and their families to enjoy their day in peace – minus the television cameras following everyone around.

The couple had been dating for five years before Lachey presented his bride-to-be with a diamond engagement ring last November.  Ironically enough, Lachey’s ex Jessica Simpson became engaged shortly after and is planning her own “I Dos” to fiancé Eric Johnson.  Will Simpson and Johnson follow in her exes footsteps and exchange wedding bands and vows on TV as well?

Not even the Dreaded Double Elimination Date Could Hurt Ashley’s Chances of Finding True Love

Although Ashley admitted to still thinking about Bentley on last night’s episode of The Bachelorette, she definitely seemed to find comfort in some of the remaining 12 guys.  Upon leaving Phuket, the remaining men joined Ashley in peaceful Chiang Mai.  First on the agenda was the one-on-one date with Ben F, with whom Ashley seemed quite taken with after he painted the mural at the children’s orphanage last week.  To me, he seems like one of Ashley’s favorites so far and could definitely see an engagement ring proposal in both of their futures.  The definitely seemed like a couple who had been dating for a while as they strolled through the tranquil town.  Because the temple is such a sacred setting, they settled on a “mental” kiss and saved their kiss for after the flower-filled romantic dinner that shared later that night.

Talk about a group date!  This might have been a first in The Bachelorette history that actually let the guys take out a lot of their frustration out on each other without getting one of them kicked off the show.  The eight men engaged in the tradition of Muay Thai Fighting that had them training then competing against each other in the ring.  Ames, who had never been in a fight in his life, was knocked out hard enough to find himself in the emergency room.  After returning later that evening, he announced to Ashley that the doctors diagnosed him with being in love.  With a comment like that, he definitely earned himself a place in the running for making it to the final rose ceremony.  What won’t men do for true love?!

Then came the dreaded two-on-one date with Ben C. and William who were enjoying a nice rafting trip when William abruptly announced that Ben C. couldn’t wait to leave and get back to his life of online dating.  Upon hearing that, Ashley abruptly ended the date to send Ben C. packing.  William’s plan seemed to backfire however, as Ashley immediately sent him home too feeling no connection with him anymore.  The tension leading into the rose ceremony was obvious, but in the end Ashley chose to send Nick home, ending his chances at proposing with a diamond engagement ring.  Next week the remaining eight men join Ashley in Hong Kong were a surprise guest arrives to spoil everyone’s plans.  Who could the mystery guest be?!

Engagement Ring Proposal for a Former Bachelor and Bachelorette

Courtesy of the bostonherald.com

After the final roses are given out on both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette and an engagement ring proposal is given by the winner, have you ever been left wondering “did the runner up ever find lover?”  Although he didn’t find love with Bachelorette, Ali Fedotowsky, former fan favorite, Chris Lambton has given his final rose to Peyton Wright.  Wright had previously tried to find love on The Bachelor, but was sent packing before receiving the final rose.  She no longer has to wait for her prince charming, as she received a diamond engagement ring proposal from Lambton, whom she began dating after meeting at a “Bachelor” function.  After enduring a long distance relationship, which consisted of a great deal of iChatting and phone conversations, they are now ready to say “I do.”  Although no date to exchange wedding bands has been set, the couple is extremely excited to be spending the rest of their lives together.  Will Bachelorette Ashley be so lucky?  Be sure to tune into tonight’s episode to see the latest contestant to be sent packing and which ones are still in the running to pop the question with a diamond engagement ring all their own.

Third Time Won’t be the Charm for Hugh Hefner

Courtesy of thehollyqoodgossip.com

Hugh Hefner will continue to remain the world’s oldest bachelor.  Although he popped the question to now former girlfriend, Crystal Harris, over Christmas by presenting her with a sparkling diamond engagement ring, they have called it quits just days before the wedding.  There is much speculation that the couple had a huge fight, which caused Harris to move out of the mansion and call of the wedding.  More than 300 wedding invitations had been sent out to the guests that were invited to this Saturday’s ceremony at the Playboy Mansion, where Hefner and Harris were going to exchange their vows and wedding bands.  Hefner took to Twitter today stating that “The wedding is off, Crystal has had a change of heart.”  Hefner had previously exchanged wedding bands twice before, with both marriages ending in divorce.  How long do you think it will take for Hefner to find a new love interest?

Love in Thailand for the Bachelorette: A Step Closer to Her Finding a Man and a Ring

Courtesy of abc.com

After the drama of last week, what better way to take Bachelorette Ashley’s mind off of Bentley than sweeping her and the twelve remaining men off to Thailand?!  The trip started with Constantine landing the coveted one-on-one date with Miss Ashley.  Although they were supposed to spend the day on a private beach, the weather gods had different plans for them.  They actually met a Thai man who has been married for 36 years, who told them the key to a successful relationship was to forgive and forget and that love isn’t about winning.  I guess that The Bachelorette series isn’t that popular in Thailand, as the whole premise of the show is men competing to win the heart of the reality starlette and presenting her with a diamond engagement ring.  Finally the rain stopped and allowed for the pair to share a romantic dinner on the sand, where Constantine opened up about past meaningless relationships and how he was now ready to go the distance and make the ultimate commitment – finding true love and exchanging wedding bands with the lucky lady.  Ashley hoped that she was the lucky lady and ended up giving him a rose.

Then came the heartwarming group date, where Ashley and crew headed to the Baan San Fan Orphanage, which is a community established to help children who lost their parents and families in the tsunami a few years ago.  It’s really great that the show gives the contestants the opportunity to take part in events that actually give back to those in need.  Ashley was impressed with the mural that Ben painted on one of the walls and actually joined in to help.  The highlight for everyone watching was when the children arrived with absolutely amazing expressions of joy and happiness on their faces at their new facility.  It almost made you forget that it was a dating competition show where everyone was to present Ashley with a diamond engagement ring when all is said and done.

The second one-one-one date was awarded to Ames, who explains how his spontaneous personality brought him to Thailand before for cooking classes.  Their date was amazing, as they were able to kayak through the caves and caverns of Thailand taking in all of the beautiful scenery.   After her date with Ames, Ashley realizes that she didn’t really get to know any of the men because of her attraction to Bentley.  She decided to give him a rose and later decides to give another rose out, so she doesn’t make the mistake of sending someone home that deserves to be there.  In the end, she ends up sending West home because she doesn’t feel he is ready to move on from the death of his wife and fears that he isn’t ready to commit to another engagement ring proposal after such a devastating event.  The remaining 11 men are still in the competition to win over Ashley’s heart and take one step closer to walking down the aisle.

Wedding Date Set for Dancing With the Stars Karina Smirnoff

Courtesy of socialitelife.com

Save the Date!  Dancing with the Stars starlette, Karina Smirnoff has officially set her wedding date to baseball player Brad Penny.  Penny popped the question and presented Smirnoff with a stunning diamond engagement ring back in October.  The couple has decided to exchange wedding bands and vows in front of close friends and a family on January 21, 2012 on an undisclosed Caribbean island.  Keeping most of the details about the event private, Smirnoff announced that the wedding will be a “destination wedding” that will incorporate many different cultures, as she has family from all over Europe and Penny has a great deal of family in Oklahoma.

So will Smirnoff be a bridezilla when it comes to planning her wedding.  The dancing queen proclaims that she is pretty easy going about the whole thing, and is open to the location, flowers, ambiance etc.  The one thing that she is going to put her foot down about is that her dress MUST have a train.  She had begun with a list of 20 dresses and has narrowed the selection down to 6.  She is now going to see which one works best for her vision and body.  Smirnoff had previously accepted an engagement ring from fellow DWTS pro, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, but called the wedding off due to their busy schedules.  Chmerkovskiy is now looking for the right woman to walk down the aisle with on the Ukranian version of The Bachelor.

MTV Stuntman Pulls of The Greatest Stunt of Proposing to His Longtime Girlfriend

Courtesy of Fanpix.net

As the old saying goes, love can sometimes be a very dangerous thing.  Well this is certainly true for MTV adrenaline junkie, Travis Pastrana, who pulled off quite the stunt of his own over the weekend in Las Vegas.  The Nitro Circus star was in Sin City for a motorcross exhibition.  Ready for the event to begin, Pastrana, decked out in his motorcross attire interrupted the announcer and began to proclaim his love for longtime girlfriend, Lyn-Z Adams Hawkins, and presented her with a diamond engagement ring on a motorcycle ramp for the entire crowd to see.  Elvis’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love” played throughout the cheering arena, as the newly engaged couple kissed.

Pastrana announced to the crowd that he had originally been planning to pop the question later that night on the Nitro Circus Live Show, but was too nervous to wait any longer.  The couple then celebrated with 100 of their closest friends and family at Studio 54, where they enjoyed a champagne toast before Hawkins presented his bride-to-be with a dozen red roses.  Do you think that the crazy couple took it a step further and exchanged wedding bands at one of the infamous wedding chapels in Las Vegas while there?
